Beddows' Bus Stop Signing

Beddows speaking from his pre-World Cup training camp at the Cristiano Ronaldo museum in Madeira was delighted to announce that a chance meeting at the Airport Bus Stop on Wednesday with AC Siena defender Buss Henrique has led to an agreement for the Brazilian international to join Beddows' Blackburn.

Henrique said in Portuguese via his translator, Luisa Figa,

Luisa Figa
"I am very happy to be going to play in England Division One. Siena was good but all of my life I have dreamt of playing against managers such as Hirst, Kinnear, Aguero, PWM, Aaron etc... And with players such as Petersen, Petersen and erm... Petersen."

Buss is not involved with Brazil due to their failure to qualify for the World Cup while Beddows spoke briefly of his own sides preparations... "Well we haven't done much to be honest, a little training here and there and working on my Blackburn tactics. Of an evening Cristiano has insisted on showing the players DVD's about himself, taking them around his museum and then getting the players to take pictures of him for his collection."

In terms of the group that they have drawn at the World Cup he said: "Well Ecuador must be in crisis with Frank Hirst not arriving to meet the team until the day of the first match - horrendous preparations I think. Jamaica are a joke... Not sure how they qualified for the World Cup to be honest. Chile will be a tough test but with Cristiano we should reach the 2nd round quite easily."
