Division 1 Player of the Year
For the 4th time in 5 years Manchester United striker, Robin Van Persie runs away with the player of the year award with a whopping 90% of the vote! RVP has played 33 games this season, scoring 31 goals & 21 assists showing there would only ever be 1 winner of this award. Newcastle United have secured Champions League football for another year and star striker Papiss Cisse has been on top form, even scoring the goals that wrapped up a 2-0 away win at Old Trafford, though United would eventually pull away from the chasing pack to win another title. 3rd place was a tie between Edinson Cavani of City & Marek Hamsik of United. Cavani now in his 3rd season at City and probably his best season in Manchester to date scored 12 goals & 9 assits in his 24 games, but a hamstring injury at the start of the year ruled him out for over 3 weeks...a win at home to Tranmere tomorrow night will seal CL football for City and Cavani will need to be on top form. in joint 3rd place in Manchester United centre mid, Marek Hamsik who has played 30 league games this season, scoring 11 and assisting 8 in 4 title win in 5 years for United.
