Upon learning the Burton Albion boss has tipped Beddows’
Blackburn for relegation in the Pundit Picks from a private conversation with Hirst, Beddows reminded his Burton friend
of his special friendship with Burton chairman Ben Robinson.
He said “As many of you know I have met Ben many times at
various functions and parties and he has said that one day when I am ready I
can have the Burton job. My Nan who is friends with Ben has also promised me
that she dreams of seeing me in the Pirelli hot-seat someday” (70% true in real
life J)
Beddows actually missed his side’s pre-season game v Bologna
on Tuesday leaving Youth Team boss Benedetto Mangiapane in charge as Albion
Chairman invited Beddows to be guest of honour at Burton’s second pre-season
friendly at the Pirelli.
He was even lucky enough to have been invited to do the
Half-time challenge where he set an all-time record at the Pirelli stadium.
(FYI it is actually me and yes it was (and still is) an all-time record at The
Pirelli Stadium Crossbar Challenge)
Short reacted angrily to Beddows’ exploits on the pitch at
half-time claiming that he would have got “3 points” and that he will deliver 3
points on Saturday!
In all seriousness
though going away from Beddows at Blackburn and Beddows in real life. An old
student of mine at a school where I worked for 4 years died aged 19 last week.
He was a Burton Albion season ticket holder and a Liverpool fan (poor lad). If
any of you are lucky enough to have any spare cash then please follow the link

RIP Jake.
Stephen, sad to read about your former pupil. I know from own experiences of this disease and how horrible it is. RIP JAKE
