A big hello to all. It has been a while since I have posted on the blog and now is the time after finally bringing a win less run of 8 games to an end which included 7 defeats.
It has been a mixed bag to life in Division 2 and at times been a real tough lesson as there a number of sides packed with quality players and squads full of depth.
At Posh things have been different in trying to add more depth to the squad by selling and then re-investing. Loanees have joined in the shape of Ward-Prowse, Cartabia and Lanzini after Borja was recalled by Real Madrid. Permanent signings in the shape of McAuley, Pereirinha, Improta, Gayle, Martinez, Hallfredsson, Albornoz and Gonen have all been added to the 1st team squad.
Posh started the season in decent form losing only 2 of their first 9 games in all competitions, but after defeat at Ipswich in the league a downturn in their form happened. The defence that had looked reasonable solid was now conceding too many goals and we were finding it hard to score them too. Hopefully after the win away to Sheffield United who are surprisingly struggling we can kick start our season again.
The Posh board have come out this week and said manager Lee Reynolds has their full backing and support. On the The Posh.com a short statement read. "Manager Lee Reynolds has the full backing and support of all board members. Chairman Darragh MacAnthony has said any funds he can make available from player sales will go back into improving the team. It is important that Lee who did an amazing job in getting us into the second tier is given every opportunity and support in keeping us there"
Boss Reynolds was quizzed on rumours and those of close pal Clive Short being linked with the posh job. "Who is the current manager? Me. Clive is a close friend that is all I have to say", said a defiant Reynolds.
